How To Disable Windows Reputation-Based Settings

Windows includes reputation-based protection settings to help prevent potentially unwanted applications from running. Follow these steps to disable them:

Accessing Windows Security Settings

1. Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.

2. Navigate to Privacy & Security → Windows Security.

3. Click on App & Browser Control.

Disabling Reputation-Based Protection

1. Under Reputation-based protection, click Reputation-based protection settings.

2. Toggle off the following options:

   • Check apps and files

   • SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge

   • SmartScreen for Microsoft Store apps

   • Potentially unwanted app blocking

3. Confirm any prompts to apply the changes.
